The second special legislative session is quickly coming to and end and it appears Texas lawmakers won`t be able to solve the school Finance crisis, yet again. It`s the same problem, lawmakers have come up with a school reform bill, but they haven`t come up with a way to pay for it all.

TOKYO: Japanese Finance Minister Sadakazu Tanigaki called on Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and discussed economic ties between the two countries. The Prime Minister briefed him about Pakistan's economic policies especially the agenda of reforms that has brought about a turn around in its economy.

In his first school board meeting since becoming interim superintendent of the Benton School District, Dr. Fred Dawson recommended a reorganization of the district's finance department, which he says will save the district about $20,000 annually.

Indiana - Indiana officials are urging the Pentagon's base closure commission to add hundreds of jobs at the defense finance center in Indianapolis. Governor Mitch Daniels says that the building in northeast Marion County can accommodate over 1000 more employees.
